MOTHER'S DAY 2008

(Pic: Jack, Barry, sister Cheryl, sister Sue, Terry, nephew Allen, Laurie, Mom, sister Andrea and Alex) We celebrated Mother's Day at the Black & Gold Country Club in Yorba Linda with all mothers present except for Melissa. Her grandfather was rushed to St. Jude and her presence was needed with him, which we all understood. Jack and I brought Baby Shawn with us so all could see him, and he's such a good boy. Great Aunt Sue got to hold him for the first time since she saw him at the hospital, and Great Aunt Angie got in her weekly "baby fix". Great Nana held him too and knew that he felt a little heavier than the last time she held him - he's about a pound heavier since the last time. Jack bought me a Mother's Day card and some romance DVDs, among them my two favorites "Notting Hill" and "Love Actually". Chris called this morning and wished me a happy Mother's Day - this is my first Mother's Day without him, so it was a bittersweet phone call. He surprised me with a great gift a few days ago that came by mail, a Kodak Digital Photo Frame, so that will grace my desk at work with the latest pictures. Melissa and Shawn gave me wonderfully framed pics of Baby Shawn, again for my office, so it was a great day for us moms.
