This weekend was spent in Las Vegas with friends, Peggy and Linda. It was Peggy's 50th birthday present, seeing Bette Midler in person at Caesar's Palace. We had one great time and ended up in box seats! The concert was 90 minutes long and seemed to go so fast. Bette did her Delores Delgado routine as a mermaid in the wheelchair, she opened up with "The Rose", and ended with the song from "Beaches"...."That's the Story of Love". She had about five costume changes, and along with her three back-up singers, she also had about 15 showgirls to help her out, she called them her "Caesar Salad Girls". Caesar's Palace, get it?
