MOM'S BIRTHDAY BRUNCH

Mom's birthday was Feb 18, and we all had a wonderful brunch at sister Sue's house. Fresh shrimp, the fixings for Crab Louie, sliced beef fillets, green beans with bacon, mashed potatoes, freshly-made croissants, everything was perfect. Everyone was present except for Chris, who is in Ohio, but he called and we all got to talk to him and hear about the cold weather he's experiencing back there.
Shawn Patrick Triefenbach is due on April 7th and Alexander Ryan
Kesinger is due around May 15th, so this is a great picture of Jenny and Melissa sitting with Mom. Cheryl and Barry came down from Lake Arrowhead, where, for a few days these past weeks, they've been snowed in, but the weather let up and they were able to come down the mountain to celebrate with us. We took group pictures, so here's Mom with the men in the family, and then Mom with all the girls, even down to Aisling (she'll be two in April) sitting on her Mom's lap. To top off the meal, Mom's birthday cake was a masterpiece from Allsace Lorriane, a great bakery in Long Beach. It's a ways to travel to pick it up, but the cake is well worth it, and so is Mom. It's very light, all chocolate, and the top and bottom of the cake is lined with huge chocolate-dipped strawberries. One of Mom's gifts that really stood out was a trip to Tempe, Arizona to see two pre-season Angel games - she loves the Angels!
