CANDICE VISITS GRACELAND

Candice took the tour of Graceland today, one of the things on her "bucket list". An older couple from Nebraska found out she was from California and taking the tour on her own, and they opted to be her adoptive Graceland parents. So Candice went on their tour with them and had her commemorative picture taken with them - she's sending me a wallet size picture. TRIP UPDATE: Weather - a strong sand storm and a few drops of rain, other than that, clear weather; GAS - she budgeted $610 for gas which includes $20 per day for dinner. At last count, she's only spent $275 of that $610, so whatever gas is going for (in most cases still under $4), she's ahead of the game on budget. ARIZONA: flatter state than she thought it would be; TEXAS: Cadillac Ranch, where Cadillacs are half-buried in the ground facing east - they even give you a can of spray paint to paint whatever you want on them. NEW MEXICO: Albuquerque - Candice liked this town the best; AMARILLO, TEXAS: Ate at the 66 Diner along the original Route 66; OKLAHOMA: small towns resembling Mayberry, cute and quaint; LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: mean people and fast drivers. Candice will be at her Dad's house by 6pm tonight our time. Thank the Lord for her safety in getting there, thank you.........
