5 MONTHS OLD AND HIS FIRST TOOTH IS COMING IN!

Not only is Baby Shawn 5 months old today, but we felt his first tooth coming in on the bottom! Normally when a baby is teething they have a slight fever, they're very fussy, they cry a lot, and they're just miserable. Well, you'd never know it with this little guy. It seems like just another little thing going on in his life, like he's not even paying any attention. Pretty soon we'll hear the "tink-tink-tink" of the spoon on his tooth. He recognizes people now and will follow them around the room. He's very comfortable in a room with a lot of people - he's definitely a "people watcher". He'll go to anyone who wants to hold him, and he's always full of smiles. Bedtime involves a bottle, a rocking recliner, and Grandpa holding him on his lap - of course, Jack is just loving that! Auntie Amy came over for a couple days to help out Melissa and Shawn just smiles when she walks in the room - she just loves him to death!
I hosted bingo the other night at my house and the baby was a big hit. He was passed around the table and loved every minute of it. Nita, a close friend of the family, and our family hairdresser didn't want to put him down; and since she has grandchildren of her own, she's used to babies grabbing her glasses, earrings and necklaces - they're just toys to him.....
