SHAWN IS 19 MONTHS OLD!

Thanks Nana for knitting me my winter cap! Shawn normally doesn't care for hats, but once we convinced him he looked pretty cute in it, he kept it on and waved "hi" to the camera, what a ham! 1-1/2 YEAR CHECK-UP: Shawn had his 1-1/2 year check up at the doctor today and unfortunately he couldn't leave without getting some shots, FOUR of them to be exact! He got his usual booster shots, but this time the flu shot was added. The nurse was quick in giving him the shots, and yes, Shawn did cry, not a scream, and not just a whimper, just enough to produce one tear down each cheek, but he really did well considering. He got his favorite Charlie Brown band-aids to go on his "boo boos", and then he acted like nothing happened. HEIGHT: He's off the charts in height for his age. Shawn is 3' 1" tall, and even if he stayed this height at two years of age, if the formula is right, he'll be around 6' 2" tall, give or take one inch. WEIGHT: 28 pounds - he's in the 75th percentile on weight. The doctor asked questions: HOW MANY WORDS DOES HE KNOW? About 20-25 words. DOES HE POINT TO THINGS AND SAY WHAT THEY ARE? Yes. CAN HE TAKE OFF HIS CLOTHES? Yes (and we added that he can also help putting them on too). CAN HE EAT WITH A SPOON OR FORK? Yes. DOES HE SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT? Yes, since he was two months old, without fail. DOES HE LIKE TO HAVE BOOKS READ TO HIM? Yes. He loves books and has now discovered puzzles. DOES HE KNOW THE PARTS OF HIS BODY? Yes. Eyes, ears, head, nose, mouth, eyes, toes, fingers and belly. Apparently they ask these questions when they reach 1-1/2 years old to get some idea as to HOW he's learning things and what he understands, so far, so good!
