We celebrated family birthdays on Sunday for brunch at Luminarias in Monterey
Park. Birthday wishes went to myself, my sister Andrea, my sister Sue, and my nephew, Allen. Andrea reserved our own private room (it helps when you work for the company!) complete with waiter service and a visit from some mariachis (see video above). We enjoyed the brunch, you can't go wrong with homemade Mexican food, the best guacamole to be found, peel-your-own shrimp, prime rib, ham, turkey, a pasta bar, an omelette bar, and a time to be with family. Cheryl and Barry didn't attend due to bad weather in the mountains, but we had no trouble celebrating, especially with Aisling (my 1-1/2 yr ol
d great niece) entertaining us with her dancing. The manager at the restaurant arranged to have these birthday plates made with our names on it, complete with our own piece of cake. It was a great time spent with family, and it's been decided that since there will be two high chairs and a booster seat next year, having our own private room at this place worked out the best. So until next year.....
