THE MEN IN MY LIFE

This past weekend was just wonderful. My whole family was together! Chris flew out from Ohio on Thursday night, he met his nephew for the first time and just fell in love with him. The men in my life are all here in this picture: Shawn, Jack, Chris and Baby Shawn. Chris had a jam-packed weekend seeing friends and being with family. On Saturday, we all moved my best friend, Peggy, to her new two-bedroom apartment in Fullerton (she had a one bedroom but now has her son with her again) in what seemed to be record time. We started at 9am and finished up around 12:30 with Subway sandwiches - thanks Peg! After that, it was time to head home, shower, change, and crash! On Sunday we celebrated 8 birthdays at my sister's house in Yorba Linda. We had a great dinner, with everyone bringing something, burgers, hot dogs and brats on the grill, potato salad, pasta salad, chips, dips, and topped off with a great cake from Bev's Best Bakery in Brea (same cake we had at Melissa's shower - fresh strawberries and Bavarian cream filling, and French butter cream frosting), heavenly. And this was a first for Baby Shawn - his first swim in the pool with Grandpa Jack. He LOVED the water, and just looked fascinated by it all. It was time to come out and not a peep out of him - he's just such a good baby. He also got to meet his cousins for the first time: 2-1/2 year old Aisling and 3-month old Xander. All good things must come to an end though - Chris flew back to Ohio at 6am this morning out of Ontario, so Jack got up at 3am, got him to the airport by 5am, and off to work until 6pm tonight, that's one long day.............
